Find Answering Service Connectivity Scholarship

Connectivity is extremely important in today's world because there is an endless amount of information being fed to us. We can't go anywhere without our cell phones or access to the internet. That's where most people learn about various topics. However, it can be overwhelming and hard to determine if what we're  learning about is actually accurate. Whether it's knowing a business's operation hours or staying up to date on the latest news, it's our right to have access to the correct answers. Having all the information at our finger tips helps make our lives easier. If we weren't able to stay connected this way or access information as quickly, it would be much more difficult to navigate our lives and we'd have to work a lot harder.

One way that communication technology is going to continue to evolve in the future is with artificial intelligence (AI). Virtual assistants like Amazon Alexa and Echo have already become a staple product in most households, and according to Gartner, 37% of businesses have begun using some form of AI too, such as virtual customer service. Information is how we stay connected, and it's important to have access to it when we need. Whether it's something simple like learning the weather or contacting a business to ask important questions, AI can help tremendously. While some may feel threatened that AI that it will take their job, it can actually make many jobs easier especially when it comes to gathering and improving big data.

In my own life, I use many types of technology and communication to connect with others. The largest one, of course, being my smart phone. It has nearly everything I could need to stay connected. I can easily pull up Google to search for just about anything. The messaging applications allow me to quickly send a text to friends and family members. I'm also able to access most of my work through my phone and send emails to my coworkers and supervisors. However, I think it's important not to forget face-to-face connections. While technology is amazing, being able to have an in-person conversation with someone can never be replaced.
